PMi Advantage Refurbishment Process

The C-Arm is externally cleaned and disinfected, upon arrival at our warehouse.

Our Quality Assurance (QA) department inspects and tests the C-Arm and Monitor Cart thoroughly and generates a complete report. System is tagged with distinctive ID.

Faults, errors and other issues are repaired immediately and noted in report.

The C-Arm and Monitor Cart are completely disassembled and any additional issues or potential problems found are noted on report or repaired at this time.

System is internally disinfected. Disinfection of the C-arm ensures that all biohazards, along with accumulated dust and debris, are thoroughly removed. Special attention is given to X-ray tube, Image Intensifier and collimator area where the majority of contamination is located.

Subcomponents are disassembled, disinfected and moved to their designated QA areas.

All adhesive, tape, Hospital labels etc. are completely removed.

All disassembled components are inventoried and are moved to the paint department.

Systems and components to be painted are prepped, dents are removed or filled, scratches are sanded out or filled and then a primer coat is applied.

We apply two coats of high quality polyurethane paint are applied. A final clear protective seal is then added as a last coat

All painted components are identified and brought back to their respective reassembly areas.

The lift column rollers and drive sub assemblies are checked and lubricated as necessary.

C-travel Roller and Bearing Assembly is lubricated or replaced as necessary.

C-travel brake pad is replaced

Flip flop bearings are adjusted and lubricated as necessary.

Horizontal movement (Cross-Arm) bearings, rollers and stops are checked/adjusted and replaced as necessary.

All locks, handles and brakes are adjusted or replaced as necessary.

Wheels and casters are checked, adjusted, cleaned and replaced as necessary.

C-Arms with rear wheel steering system is adjusted and aligned, steering shaft coupler is checked for stripped screws and screws are replaced as necessary.

C-Arm and monitor cart is reassembled. Monitor cart CRT’s are replaced.

Interconnect cable is checked for cuts and overall cosmetics. Stress test is performed. Cable is replaced as necessary.

Power cord is checked for cuts and replaced as necessary. A new hospital grade power connector is installed.

All switches, connectors, breaker and fuses are checked and replaced as necessary.

C-Arm and monitor cart power supplies are adjusted to specifications.

C-Arm batteries are replaced as necessary.

Battery charger voltage circuit is adjusted to specifications.

C-Arm SRAM card memory battery is replaced.

Monitor cart motherboard battery is replaced.

Footswitch pedals are tested/adjusted. Cables, connector and pins are replaced as necessary.

The high voltage cables are stress tested and terminals are cleaned and new grease applied. H.V. cables are replaced as needed.

X-Ray tube is stress tested for leaks or bad gaskets. X-ray tube is also checked for excessive bearing noise and tungsten buildup on the outlet port. If necessary, X-Ray tube is replaced and calibrated to meet OEM specifications.

X-ray system calibration is performed.

Collimator iris is calibrated to proper field size. Collimator shutters are centered.

CCD camera is centered, aligned and focused. Camera iris is calibrated to OEM specifications and for proper tracking/operation.

Camera, collimator and beam alignment is performed using original OEC field service alignment tools.

Image intensifier (II) is sized in all fields and focused. II is checked for artifacts. If light gain is too low, II is replaced.

Video monitor is adjusted and settings are adjusted as needed.

Dose output is checked/adjusted to meet FDA regulations and a report is generated.

System is thoroughly tested and all functions checked.

Vascular operational features are checked if system is ordered with this option.

Cine functions are checked if system is ordered with this option.

System CRTs (if replaced) are burned in for 24 hours.

C-Arm and Monitor cart is thoroughly tested and burned in for 48 hours, by Quality Assurance.

System comes with refurbished footswitch, hand control, operators and reference manuals and skin spacer.

System can be delivered, packed, skidded or crated per customer request.

Once system is delivered, a full installation, insuring proper operation, is performed. The electrical line voltage is properly tapped on the transformer of system.

FDA form 2579 is filled out and sent to the Department of Health and Human Services for all permanent installations.

We’ll be happy to help with registering your product with the State and scheduling a physicists’ inspection.

We offer a full day complementary in-service training to insure your staff can properly operate and manipulate the C-Arm and Monitor Cart functions. Additional days are also offered.
